THEME: Personal hygiene

GOAL

- To building a functional English vocabulary so children can confidently understand and express themselves explaining about proper hygiene.

-To let kids understand the cause and effect of regularly cleaning/ grooming themselves.

ARTS AND CRAFT

In the first week, we did art and craft explaining about washing their hands. The goal of this activity is to remind the kids of the proper way of washing their hands. We also learned about germs and their characteristics. While the kids are working on their own paper we talk about how to wash away invisible germs to stop the spread of infections, colds, and flu.

In the second week, we made our own magnet dental tools. Making our own DIY dental toys is highly engaging, hands-on learning experience that boosts both language and practical life skills. While we were making our own toys, we had good conversation on how they take care of their teeth. In addition, by designing and building these toys, students actively use specific, functional vocabulary related to healthcare, materials, and shapes while natural communication flows through teamwork and problem-solving. Furthermore, it introduces essential health literacy into the language curriculum, reinforcing the importance of oral hygiene and preventative dental care in a fun, stress-free environment.

In the third week, we made our bath-themed DIY keychain. This activity is a fun way to capture relaxing spa vibes and the bubbles. Also, crafting a bath-themed keychain offers kids a playful, hands-on way to strengthen fine motor skills and boost creative confidence while working with diverse shapes and textures. Our main goal of this project is to turn a daily routine into an exciting, positive concept, helping children to understand about cleanliness. While we were doing this project kids were talking about their favorite toys to bring in their bathtub. Kids associate bath time with fun and relaxation rather than a chore. Kids were to excited to hang their own key chain on their school bags as a tangible reminder of their artistic capability and daily wellness habits.

LANGUAGE

Our morning session is always full of fun. It is our third month using our digital platform delivers a highly interactive, synthetic phonics program designed to accelerate early reading and writing proficiency through a fun, multi-sensory framework. This month we focused on recognizing phonics sounds such as c/ k/ e,/h,/r/m/ and d/. Some students are doing advance worksheets and more high vocabulary practice.

Studying English personal hygiene expressions offers students practical, real-life vocabulary that directly enhances their health awareness, social confidence, and cultural competence. They learned how to keep themselves clean and what are the negative effect of dirt and germs to their health.
